Our Purpose
I.
The purpose of the Black Student Union is to promote activities of common interest, as well as cultural and educational benefits for the African American / Black student body on college and high school campuses and in Communities.
II.
The Bayview Black Student Union purpose is to unify Black students (9th to 12th) grade to be academically supported through school and create a network and outlet for Black students in Bayview Hunters Point and Beyond.
III. Mission
The mission of the Bayview Black Student Union is to create unity in the community and uplift one another towards college or a career through education.

IV. Membership
The Bayview Black Students Union members shall consist of any person regardless of school type, culture, creed or political affiliation, gender (in accordance with Title IX), sexual orientation, religion, or disability.
Membership includes the following provisions:
- Members must believe in the purpose and mission as outlined in Article II, III, and IV.
- Members shall attend meetings prepared with ideas for promoting and celebrating the academic success towards higher education and their culture inside their community.
